Becoming Him
Our founder, Landa Mabenge, is the author of Becoming Him-a trans memoir of triumph. This intersectional account of his lived experience as a black, transgender man in South Africa, is a resource he uses to educate and create awareness through this consultancy.
In this memoir, he details his journey from a young age, where he had no access to language or tools about his gender identity, to his victory as the first transgender man in South Africa to successfully motivate a private medical aid for the payment of his gender alignment surgeries.
